Repair Beauty, Hair and Health Issues Without Chemicals

My primary health journey go to products were MSM, coconut oil, jojoba oil and safflower oil. But, I began exploring with many other natural products as well. I consistently mixed ingredients attempting to create the perfect product. I completely stopped using over the counter medications.

I am a mom to 3 little girls and my youngest baby developed eczema. After several trips to the pediatrician with no luck, I decided to try coconut and jojoba oil on her skin. After a few days, my little one was no longer itching. My only regret is why I didn’t try this first.

My oldest daughter developed a mild acne issue during her pre-teen years. Guess what mommy did? I mixed up a Vitamin C and Witch hazel wash and a coconut oil and jojoba oil moisturizer mix. My daughter’s skin cleared completely.

I, myself, had been feeling a little lethargic. So, I decided to mix up MSM in about a cup of water. I added vitamin C for the taste and to increase absorbency. MSM has powerful cleansing abilities. After about a week, my energy level had surpassed what I expected. The body uses MSM to regenerate healthy cells, which explains why it works so well.

Another surprise about MSM is that it solved my asthma issue. I have had asthma since I was a little one. I suffered with this ailment most of my life. After a few months of taking my MSM concoction for energy, I noticed that I didn’t need to use my inhaler. What the? Now, THIS was an awesome surprise! I am now able to run and exercise without my inhaler.

My medicine cabinet no longer consists of over the counter products. It consists of naturally organic elements from the earth. Castor oil for constipation. Witch hazel and coconut oil for rashes. Safflower oil for moisturizing hair. Breast milk… yes breast milk… for diaper rashes (This works for me as I’m currently nursing). Let’s not forgot the power of Shea Butter. Shea Butter is great for healing rashes. My little family appears to be healthier and happier than ever.

Healing powers exist right within nature. Who knew huh? Instead of using products created in labs, what about using products grown from the earth. If chemicals were necessary, how did our ancestors survive so well? Discovering natural healing product solutions for my family was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It solved our skin, health and hair issues better than any chemically produced product that I’ve ever encountered.

Discover the Workings and Health Benefits of Olive Leaf Extract

Let’s face it. The health benefits of olive leaf extract may be numerous. This article focuses on the skin’s health, but when something is beneficial for one system of the body, ultimately, it is good for them all.

The skin is an important part of the body’s immune system. It serves to protect the body from injury and illness, by keeping out bacteria, pathogens and harmful substances.

That’s a big job and the skin can use all of the help it can get. When we talk about the importance of good hygiene; washing the face and body, we are doing that to help the skin protect against disease.

Because the skin is on the outside of the body, constantly exposed to allergens, irritants, toxins and illness-causing pathogens, and because there is a great deal of naturally occurring bacteria on the skin’s surface, we see conditions like acne, dermatitis and rashes. Fungal infections are common, as well.

Psoriasis and eczema are common. They are usually blamed on a dysfunctional or over-reactive immune system. Inflammation occurs when there is no real reason for it.

The health benefits of olive leaf extract are primarily due to the immune system support that it provides. It has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal activity.

Olive oils are a good base for cleansers, because they are non-irritating and moisturizing. Some of the better cleansers contain both the oils and the extracts, because both are beneficial.

The oils contain essential fatty acids, similar to those produced by the skin. Both the extracts and the oils are rich in antioxidants like vitamin E, which helps to prevent and repair free radical damage.

So, the health benefits of olive leaf extract are numerous, but it is not a “cure-all”. In order to do everything that you can for your skin’s health and appearance, you need a few other ingredients. Specifically, you need something to address the issue of inflammation.

Inflammation is a natural and important part of the body’s immune system, but many of today’s serious diseases are caused by something called “chronic” inflammation. We are not always aware that it is ongoing.

When it comes to the skin’s appearance as we age, chronic inflammation damages and degrades collagen fibers, which are responsible for the skin’s firmness. When they become damaged, the skin starts to sag and wrinkles look deeper.

Reduced inflammation “might” be one of the health benefits of olive leaf extract, but not the oil. Let’s say that you wanted a complete body lotion to keep your skin looking young and beautiful, regardless of your age. You would want it to contain antioxidants and natural plant based oils, but you would also want it to contain something that has “proven” anti-inflammatory activity.

There are many compounds with natural anti-inflammatory activity. Bioactive keratin is one example. It is beneficial for dermatitis and other skin conditions, in which inflammation is involved.

Now that you know this, you might want to learn more about the health benefits of olive leaf extract. If you are concerned about your skin, you definitely want to learn more about bioactive keratin.

Beauty and Lifestyle

Each and every one of us is very conscious in maintaining our beauty; we never want to become old. Time goes on in its own way, we can’t stop it and everything is within our hands to keep us more healthy and young. Everyone loves to be young and therefore to be the same you need to follow some good green healthy food habits. Aging is due to the direct impact of oxidative stress in our body cells. During the young stage up to 18 years your body is capable of fighting against the free radicals by its own anti-oxidants. After then the amount of free radicals produced are more and the amount of anti-oxidants produced are less, therefore the body is not able to fight against the free radicals and this causes aging. Some healthy food items acts as a good anti-oxidants and they fight against aging.

Vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin C are some of the food items that are rich in anti-oxidants. Vitamin A helps to maintain good vision and good immunity. Yellow orange, carrot, pumpkin, mango, papaya, sweet potato and spinach are some of the fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamin A. Vitamin E helps to prevent skin damage from UV light, fight against free radicals, and protect against cancer and Alzheimer disease. Some of the food items rich in vitamin E are cherries, broccoli, asparagus, leafy green vegetables, wheat products and cereals, almonds and peanuts. Vitamin C is necessary for proper growth and good tissue health. The vitamin C rich foods are citrus foods like orange, sweet lime, lemons, guava, Indian gooseberry, strawberries melon and green peppers. Consuming all these vitamins direct from nature is good. Consuming these vitamins through pills does not mean a lot.

Some of the natural beauty tips:

Pinteresting Now Takes on DIY Beauty, Fashion and Health

The social media platform Pinterest is an incredible source for well, anything you’d ever want to know. With so many categories to browse through, you can easily spend hours perusing the website. I know I have spent more time than I’d be willing to admit pinning fashion ideas, hair, and beauty tips in my favorite area of all, DIY. If you haven’t checked out the website already, be prepared to spare at least an hour of your time because it really is an endless treasure trove of inspiring things.

Hair and Beauty
Again, my favorite part of Pinterest is their DIY category and this certainly extends to areas of hair and beauty. I have never been too creative with my own hairstyles, but with step-by-step instructions at my fingertips, I figured why not give it a try? There are so many great tips, it’s hard to find something that doesn’t appeal to me. With Pinterest, everything that’s there has already been pre-filtered by the members that post them to the site. This saves me so much time from scouring the Internet myself.

My favorite things to look at in hair and beauty are pins that aim at taking the mysticism out of seemingly hard to achieve looks. For instance, the hair bow, which I was able to recreate in a matter of minutes on the first try. Other favorites in these categories include ways to maintain your cosmetics and skincare products. The other day I just found a way to repair my broken compact powders and eye shadows by simply breaking it apart, adding alcohol and letting them dry.

Fashion
I have so many items on my to-do list of DIY fashion projects. In fact after discovering so many brilliant ideas on Pinterest, a friend of mine and I are planning to designate an entire day to crafting. One of my favorite ideas is to create your own studded garments, simply by gluing on the pieces yourself. I plan to do this with a pair of old shoes that could definitely use some updating. I myself have no skill whatsoever with a sewing machine, but for those of you that are, Pinterest has tons of posts on how to create your own stylish clothes.

I managed to preserve a favorite bra of mine that had it’s under wire protruding from the side by using a really simple method. I used some strips of moleskin that I bought at the drugstore and applied them sparingly to the problem area. The strips have the same sort of texture and color that my bra has so it blended in well and did a great job of preventing any further damage (to me and my bra).

Health
I have found a ton of interesting tips to improve the health of my skin. Most of the things posted on the site are either free or very inexpensive, which I of course love. This includes an acne spot treatment and/or mask that consists of dissolved aspirin and water that supposedly reduces redness and swelling associated with acne as well as prevents any future outbreaks.
